Supply chain strains and inflationary concerns are hurting everyone, from stores to consumers. But it is those that have the least that suffer most. That’s why the Food Industry Association (FMI) recently outlined nearly two dozen preliminary recommendations for the White House. These recommendations focus on everything from food and nutrition to practical meal solutions, with an emphasis on ways to improve accessibility and affordability for those who need it the most. Whether these recommendations will be put into practice is another question, but we support any efforts to increase the ways the food industry can help build a healthier future for all Americans.
